The Romans introduced the Potters Wheel and they knew how to have fun! We are delighted that Elaine Wells, who was a contestant on The Great Pottery Throw Down will entertain you throwing pots on an electric potters wheel during your evening with us.

What to expect…

  • Open networking and social with people from local businesses and communities (don’t worry no formal speeches)
  • Pottery demonstrations by Elaine Wells and an opportunity to speak to her about her work and experiences
  • Opportunity to engage with your inner creativity (optional) & try out a simple creative activity
  • Try some delicious beers straight from our local brewery Double Barrelled Brewery in Reading
  • By attending this event you will be helping to fundraise for charities supporting the Ukraine crisis

Who should attend?

Here at Creativ.Spaces we like to push the boundaries of the norm.’ This networking event is a twist on the traditional open networking events. It is open to everyone, any business, of any size and any industry. Come along for a relaxed approach to networking, meet, do business or socialise with other like-minded people over light refreshments, and get an insight into some of the amazing talented artists that make up our Creativ.family.

Each time we’ll have a new and optional mini creative activity to try out and another fabulous creative talent for you meet. A fun and relaxing way to end a working day!

About Elaine…

Elaine is predominantly a Studio Potter and has been producing wheel-thrown domestic ware in her Studio in Chesham Bois for over 30 years. Recently, over two years attending Clay College in Stoke on Trent she was privileged to have over 25 diverse Master Potters teaching a variety of different hand building, throwing and decorating techniques, many of which she continues to explore in her own studio.
