Working with watercolours and inks together gives a both a structure and a fresh dynamic to painting with these two mediums as they compliment each other so well.

Led by professional watercolour artist Elizabeth Baldin, you will be taking a loose approach to painting, allowing the watercolour to flow freely to achieve fresh and atmospheric results. The aim of this workshop is to help you to loosen up and paint the essence of flowers and foliage and depict their beautiful colours and forms rather than trying to depict them in a very detailed way.

You will be starting with acrylic inks which will do some of the groundwork for you, so you can then be free and expressive with the watercolours.

This workshop is aimed at those with some experience of using watercolours, but if you are a complete beginner just let us know when you book your place and Elizabeth will spend more time with you to make sure you are getting the most out of the session.

All materials will be supplied for this workshop including fresh flowers for us to work from as well as some images. Please feel free to bring along some of your own if you have any particular favourites.
