Gel Plate Printing 1 – Intro Techniques

In this fun and fast workshop you will get to learn the extremely addictive gel plate printing process for making monoprints from a gelatine-like base plate.

In this Workshop…

Master Maker Janina Maher will guide you through many techniques for making prints including mark making, direct painting, stencilling, stamping, and magazine image transfers.

These techniques can be used for representational work or can be completely abstract pieces. Be prepared to experiment and you will go home with an arm full of prints!

The gel plate is a gel based mono-printing surface and is perfect for making a series of one off prints. Whether you have a gel plate and never used it, have no idea what a gel plate printing is, or would like a refresher of some of the techniques, then you are most welcome on this workshop.
